(616c) Monitoring Reaction Chemistry and Analysis of Reaction Kinetics in Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis

The use of synthetic polypeptide-based drugs is growing in the pharmaceutical industry. Despite an enormous literature devoted to the laboratory practice of solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) relatively few studies devoted to the reaction chemistry have been published. We report here on efforts to measure and understand the reaction dynamics in SPPS.
