Monday, November 8, 2010 - 1:45pm to 2:10pm
Reaction kinetic modeling is shown to play an integral role in the development of bioconjugation technology, from quantitative characterization of the hydrolysis of linkers to controlling epitope density distribution. Focus areas include bifunctional linker analysis, purity, and kinetics of hydrolysis reactions; optimization of reaction conditions for different linker chemistry; and use of model proteins to gain understanding of conjugation reaction optimization, control, and reproducibility. The developed models enable rapid evaluation of various operating schemes as well as process optimization with increased process understanding for improved operational control & reproducibility.
