(707e) Compact Heat Exchange Reactor for Process Efficiency Improvement

Chart's compact heat exchange reactor (CHER) is an advantaged technology which combines heat exchanger and reactor together in a compact structure. The device is very suitable for highly exothermic or endothermic reactions, or even scenarios required process intensification. One of the significant benefits by using CHER in chemical processes is to improve the process efficiency. Chart's CHER devices have been used in various applications. This paper is to illustrate the efficiency improvement through those examples.
