Mathematical models play a central role in chemical engineering research and development. Generating and maintaining models is a time consuming activity. The session is intended to highlight current development of model development tools covering the range from defining modeling languages and modeling methodologies to the implementation of tools targeting a the formulation and solutions of mathematical models in chemical engineering science. Presentations addressing advances in modeling in energy or bio-medical or systems biology are especially welcome.
