Air cathodes were prepared based on various fabrication methods and compositions. Charging and discharging cycles have been performed. EIS measurements have been done on new electrodes, on aged electrodes at certain read-points, and at the end of electrode lifetime.

The experimental data are fitted to an appropriate equivalent circuit. A model is presented which characterizes the ageing of the air electrodes.
