Outline for Metal Powder Processing Safe Working Practices
Work related injuries and accidents have been a continuing problem in various industries. Proper training of workers and understanding the various aspects of a process, hazard conditions through customized audio-visual communication tools can be effective and a perfect way of introducing the employer and employees to safety issues and safe working practices.
The human brain remembers visualized information easier and helps workers to ensure a safe work environment. No one and no work place can afford to have accidents.
In this paper a detailed and thorough outline for safe metal processing operations is being presented. The outline presented here can be used to develop a training course or a safety video which will motivate workers toward safe behaviors, and a greater compliance with safe system working practices.
Identification of hazard conditions, implementation of awareness of hazards in the work place, various prevention and protection measures to ensure safe working practices, methodology to determine hazards, powder behavior and its operation as well as adopting suitable means of controlling hazards are discussed herewith.
Customized training and understanding the safety and hazards of a particular operation and process (e.g. metal processing industries) can eliminate or minimize work related injuries and accidents.
