Renewable energies are a fast-growing source of electricity in America, bringing with it many benefits of clean, sustainable energy. However, along with these benefits comes several challenges, most notably intermittency and supply-demand mismatch, which limit the growth of these new energy sources. Electric energy storage is one solution that can address these challenges. This presentation will investigate regulatory and market barriers that hinder the deployment of electric energy storage onto the power grid.
