Solids Processing is a major and integral part of biomass processing to either produce sugars or chemicals. In this session we invite papers dealing with size reduction and transport of solids (e.g pumping, slurry handling, storage, mixing and conveying) including the rheological behavior of biomass/water slurries, the determination the thermophysical and other pertinent properties used in realizing plant designs, solid liquid filtration of biomass fractions and drying. We also would like to invite challenges encountered during the processing of the biomass due to solids in reactors and heat exchangers
