(180az) Adsorption-Reduction of Gold Metal Ions to Synthesize Nanoparticles Through Biological Method

Abstract: Present paper reports our study in recovering of gold metal ions in waste water through biosorption by bacteria and then generating gold nanoparticles vglfhkseia. We critically assess the role of microorganisms, namely bacteria Magnetospirillum gryphiswaldense (MSR-1) and Bacillus Subtilis, in the reclaiming and synthesizing of gold nanoparticles, preliminary explore the possible adsorption-reduction mechanism and study the nanoparticles’ size and morphology regulating factors. Here we summarize our research findings and achievements concretely included the effectively adsorption of gold ions on bacteria, the establishment of adsorption kinetic model, the formation of gold nanoparticles and its’ various characterization by transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray photoelectron  spectroscopy(XPS), X-ray diffraction(XRD), Fourier transform  infrared (FT-IR), and the size and morphology control of nanoparticles through the change of various environmental factors such as pH, biomass concentration and so on. Based on the research findings on microbial’s adsorption-reduction of gold ions, we attempt to go deep from the biological system level into the biomacromolecule level on the synthesis of gold nanoparticles, which is under the process of research. And finally we proceed on the elaboration of the prospect in biosynthesis of metal nanoparticles for future research.
