(207f) Bibliography of Mr. Lowell Pless

After earning a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Lowell Pless joined Celanese Chemical Company in Bay City, Texas, where he performed process and production engineering.  He was the supervisor of the Oxo-Alcohols Unit for two years.  Thereafter, he joined Calumet Lubricants in Princeton, Louisiana.  In 1987, he joined, Tru-Tec Inc. and then Tracerco.  With Tru-Tec and Tracerco, Mr. Pless became a well-known, and appreciated, figure in the world of separation columns.  His expertise regarding gamma scanning and other radioisotope diagnostic tools is sought regularly, by engineers from across the globe.  He has written many important papers, for the AIChE, for magazines and for the Tracerco newsletter.  Some of those papers were coauthored by customer engineers who had sought and received Lowell’s assistance.  This Pittsburgh presentation briefly describes Mr. Lowell Pless’ most important articles and papers.  Copies of his full bibliography will be handed out to all attendees.
