(217ck) KCl Tablets Production From Fine Process and Polymers

This work proposes the development of a method for coating fines generated in the process, in order to improve the mechanical properties and also generate tablets with better mechanical properties, starting from fine KCl resulting the production process of this fertilizer. In the synthesis was used different kinds of polymers and evaluated the effect of mass ratio and type of polymer in the mixture. Tablets produced were analyzed for performance properties like abrasion resistance and were characterized by electron microscopy and infrared spectroscopy (IR). The results indicate the different biodegradable polymer can be used to produced KCl tablets with improved abrasion  resistance.
