Significant efforts have been devoted to the development of process integration design methodologies over the past several decades.   Some of the main developments in process systems analysis using process integration design tools are the identification of heat exchange networks, mass exchange networks and water allocation networks.  These systems-based tools are widely applicable and are now essential elements of undergraduate process design instruction.  Furthermore, numerous opportunities exist to incorporate these tools in the analysis of senior capstone design projects.  In addition, senior design projects based primarily on process integration design methodologies have recently been developed.  Experience and lessons learned in applying process integration in senior design projects in the undergraduate curriculum will be presented.
