(264h) Discussion of Effects of Grinding Modes On Particle Shape During Comminution

Authors

This investigation is a study of particle shape of carbon anthracite grinded by a pin mill. Different grinding modes were discussed in the study to understanding the effects on the particle shape during pin milling using 2 types of pins. The particle shape is quantified in terms of sphericity, aspect ratio, symmetry and convexity, based on the results measured and analyzed by particle image processing. The preliminary results show that attrition is the most profound effect determing the particle shape in pin milling.
