Complexation process between polyelectrolytes and nanoparticles plays important roles in many branches of nanotechnology and nano-science such as nanoparticles stabilization and dispersion in aquatic environment.  The presence of a charged nanoparticles can significantly modify the acid/base and colloidal properties of a polyelectrolyte in water. Global structural parameters such as the polyelectrolyte size and zeta potential, nanoparticle size, nanoparticles zeta potential, solution pH, were investigated. Dynamic light scattering (DLS) and zeta potential measurements for at least two polyelectrolyte (Humic acid (HA) and poly (Styrene sulfonic acid malic anhydride (PSMA)) are reported as titrations and compared to complex of mixture of them and gold nano- particles( Aqueous dispersions of citrate-coated gold nanoparticles 50 nm (GNP-50) . The isoelectric behavior was shifted in a manner that is synergistic and this is explained by comparison to literature based Monte Carlo simulations.
