Poster Session: Meet the Faculty Candidate
Sunday, November 3, 2013 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm
My research aims to understand mechanisms by which materials transform energy and pathways to improve upon these systems. I am particularly interested in how materials form, degrade and interact with various components of the system, contacts, electrolytes and photons. I will present recent progress on Pt alloy electrocatalysts, assesing the role of synthesis through dealloying on the resulting structure and electrocatalytic performance. Additionally I will discuss development of three dimensionally structured thin film solar cells, exciting insights from photocurrent mapping and gains obtained through device engineering. Finally, I will describe future directions and my approach to cultivating an independent research group with a unique perspective in materials for energy conversion and storage.
