Aerosol synthesis of nanoparticles already constitutes a big market share (volume) of engineered nanoparticles (e.g. silica or carbon black). Besides these commodity products engineered nanoparticles made in the gas-phase become more and more important in industry. Papers on the preparation (e.g. flame synthesis, plasma synthesis etc.) and processing of nanoparticles in the gas phase are sought. New methods and concepts for nano- or nanostructured particle synthesis and insight into existing aerosol methods are particularly welcome. Scientific contributions will elucidate the relationship between preparation conditions and nanomaterial characteristics. Submissions on scale-up studies on nanoparticle aerosol synthesis are particularly encouraged.
