The process of solid particles suspension in a liquid is considerably important in the chemical industry. The suspension quality of a recently developed centrifugal impeller contactor is studied and compared with a propeller impeller. The full cloud height of suspension is obtained in the centrifugal impeller speed of 300 rpm and in a 30-fold lower power consumption amount with respect to the propeller impeller. This result approves the significantly higher efficiency of this novel impeller contactor in solid suspension operations.
