The technique of extraction with hexane in supercritical conditions has been implemented in this research with two purposes: first, to extract significant amounts of fractions from vacuum residues of two typical crudes Colombia. Second, to expand the knowledge distribution profile physicochemical properties such as density, sulfur content, Conradson carbon content, metals content, viscosity and SARA (saturates, aromatics, resins, and asphaltenes) compositions in vacuum residues. Extraction tests for the two selected vacuum residues under temperature programmed at 250 and 265 ° C, in the pressure range between 550 and 1250 psi.
