Many scientists have devoted themselves to CO2 sequestration research because of the global warming. Limestone can be used for CO2 sequestration in cement industry and had been widely reported. But the surface “sintering” of limestone during the recycling will was dramatically decrease its efficiency. So here we use some metal oxides such as MgO or Fe2O3 to modify the morphology of the limestone particles thus to increase the CO2 sequestration capability of limestone. The efficiency can be increased over 8% after adding 1% MgO particles. The mechanism and the morphology changes have been proved with SEM, optical microscope, XRD, etc.
