The CO2 sequestration is becoming more and more important due the global warming.  The investigation of CO2 sequestration in cement industry is becoming even more important in China. Limestone, as the raw material in cement industry, was used to sequestrate the CO2 had been reported.  However, the efficiency was dramatically reduced due the surface “sintering” during the recycling. Here we report a promising method to increase the CO2 sequestration ability of limestone by simply adding some carbon black. The efficiency was increased over 17% compare to the pure limestone. The mechanism of the improvement was discussed and analylized by SEM, XRD and optical microscope.
