The fundamental properties of graphene are making it an attractive material for a wide variety of applications. Reduction of graphene (rGO) was composited after graphene oxide (GO) partially reduced by sodium borohydride , then reacted with the sulfanilic acid, prepared sulfonic rGO. The effects of ultrasonication pre-treatment of graphene oxide (GO) on the properties of sulfonic rGO/poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) composites were studied. Results show that prepared large graphene oxide layer by the improved hummers method, we can see through the transmission electron microscope (TEM) to get the sulfonic rGO diameter about 15-30 um, PVA was dissolved under heating in water, obtained an PVA aqueous solution. In the case of stirring the sulfonic rGO aqueous solution was slowly added in PVA aqueous solution. The mixed solution was coated on glass or metal sheet, peeled after air drying, obtained sulfonic rGO-PVA film. We observed the feature of the sulfonic rGO-PVA film surface and cross section by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The film has good mechanical properties, this research have a profound impact for mass production of graphene.
