Although the high energy-power performances with superior cyclability have been achieved in hybrid supercapacitors (HSCs), the development of advanced HSCs have recently stagnated. This is mainly because the anode materials of HSCs were very limited to the titanium-based oxides such as Li4Ti5O12 and TiO2. Herein, we developed advanced hybrid supercapacitor based on new mesoporous metal oxide andoes. The resulting hybrid capacitor delivered high energy and power densities with exceptional cycle stability, which is comparable to, or even higher than, those of state of the art Li-ion battery and supercapacitor systems.
