During self-assembly, systems undergo translational as well as rotational ordering. The translational stabilities of specific lattice structures have been well studied in terms of the melting while the determination of rotational stability remains open for exploration. In this study, we focus on the rotational ordering in typical model systems of self-assemble. We show that it is possible to construct some metrics to predict the rotational stability. Such metrics could reveal what properties of the system having impact on the rotational stability of the assembled structure and how to tune those properties to achieve target structures.
