Silicone solutions are typically a heterogeneous mixture of silicone species. Identifying the molecular length distribution and chemistry can be important to the compatibility of the polymer for its intended use and its properties, such as viscosity. The aim of this project was to ascertain the chemical composition of silicones using a self-written code to analyze data from a newer technique, DART Mass Spectrometry. DART Mass Spectrometry was a helpful characterization tool but a data analysis tool was required to process the data in a useful manner.
