Salt Lake Chevron Refinery Site Tour
A FREE tour to the Chevron Refinery Site for Professors and Faculty members. Registration closes by Oct 21, 2015.
Chevron has made arrangements with AIChE's Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) for a windshield tour at their Salt Lake Refinery site. During the tour, professionals from Chevron refinery will be on the bus to point out how safety impacts the design and operation of the refinery.
This free tour is open to Chemical Engineering Faculty and Professors.
Bus Pickup at South Side of the Salt Palace Convention Center at 12:00 PM (Noon). Please arrive early.
Requirements:
- Attendees need to show a government issued ID upon arrival at the refinery site
- No concealed weapons are allowed, even with a permit
- Cell phones should be left in the parking lot
- Photography is not allowed inside the refinery
- However, we will take pictures that can be shared with your group
- Chevron will ask for a media release to be signed so that those photos can be used for both internal and external publications. The attendees are free to refuse the release in which case we will not include them in any photographs.
