The new design of a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC)/gas turbine (GT) hybrid power generation system can effectively reduce carbon emissions to generate the clean power. A compressed fuel processing unit (CFPU), which consists of steam methane reforming (SMR), dry reforming of methane (DRM) and compressor, produces the high pressure syngas as a source of fuel for SOFC. A combined heat and power (CHP) process is connected to meet the energy demand of the CFPU and preheat the compressed air flow in order to achieve the stand-alone cogeneration system. Finally, the multi-loop feedback control strategy is implemented to control the hybrid power outputs and suppress CO2 emissions simultaneously.
