Upgrading of heavy hydrocarbons that were produced from Fischer-Tropsch process in GTL complex is one of the important technologies to obtain high quality fuels. In this work, we developed a mathematical modeling of upgrading reaction system, and optimized operating condition to maximize the conversion of heavy hydrocarbons to distillate products. To estimate the product distribution, all feasible reaction mechanisms were identified, and their reaction kinetics were applied to the modeling of reaction system. The study results showed the estimated figures such as product distribution and conversion from the modeling were in good agreement with experimental data. Finally, the reactor operating conditions such as temperature, pressure and space velocity were optimized to maximize the reactor performance.
