Vlachos, D. G. - Presenter, University of Delaware

In this talk, we will present a few case studies of bifunctional catalysis. One study will focus on the interactions between metal nanoparticles and the Brønsted acid sites in zeolites for various chemistries, including hydrogenation, dehydration, and hydrogenolysis. Another study will focus on hydrogenolysis on metal/Lewis acid systems employed in upgrade of biomass derivatives.
