In this work, we realized enzyme-mimetic nanoparticle-based point of care (POC) bioassay devices. In addition, we quantified signals by using digital images acquired by smart cellular phones, which will further enable the devices to be used for U-healthcare applications. Using this device, quantitative analysis of liquid samples was performed within 15 min with an order of magnitude enhancement of sensitivity compared with conventional Au nanoparticle-based devices. As far as we know, this is the first successful application of enzyme-mimetic nanomaterials for simple and easy-to-use POC devices
