Chemical Engineering Salary Survey

ChemE Salary Survey:

Each ABET accredited US chemical engineering BS programs (158 total departments) has been contacted by e-mail through the chair/head/director of the department and asked to fill out an Excel spreadsheet regarding compensation in the department. Instructions were to base all salaries on a 9-month contract basis for full time, tenured and tenure-track individuals in the professorial ranks, while the instructors could be tenure track or not. Other questions were directed at graduate student, post-doctoral fellow, and new assistant professor compensation. The results from each department will be condensed to number of faculty, high and low salaries, average salary at each rank, and other statistics of interest to the chemical engineering academic community. About 120 schools normally provide data.  Analysis and comparison of the results will be presented.
