(103c) Cell, Peptide and Protein Delivery Problems in Regenerative Engineering

Convergence in the biomedical field rehires synergism of different factors, parameters, ideas and disciplines. This convergence allow for translation of bench-top research to bedside methods. We will discuss a range of recent efforts to provide intelligent cell, protein and peptide delivery systems with high output and exceptional precision for the treatment of diseases in the hospital or at home. We show how the basics of chemical engineering-based controlled release have led to a number of major improvements in the fields of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, neurological diseases and autoimmune diseases.
