In the era of low oil price, major oil companies strive hard to improve accuracy of the offshore process design and operation efficiency of the platform. For this, this study focuses on the development of optimized offshore topside model, satisfying product specification, maximizing oil production and consequently maximizing profit. First, modeling of topside process that includes three phase separators, gas compressing system and recycle scheme was conducted, and optimal process configuration was selected based on evaluation of multiple case studies. Then, optimization of operating condition (e.g. gas to oil ratio, operating pressure, etc.) was performed by using Mixed Integer Non-Linear Programming (MINLP). Lastly, economic feasibility study was conducted for the design of profitable and eco-friendly offshore platform.
