(501c) Tablet Compression Scale-up Risk Assessment Using a Model Based Approach

Scale-up of processes involves uncertainties from many sources: material properties, equipment design, operation parameters, etc. The use of several models, even simple models, can constrain risks and predict failures before they occur. This talk will focus on the use of modeling in conjunction with small scale experimentation as a predictive methodology to estimate and reduce risks due to the scale-up of the tablet compaction process.
