The marketing growth of nations around the world leads companies to become more competitive. The service sector has a direct influence on the financial results of an industrial park in loss reduction aspect, becoming an strategic function of any business that has competition vision. Their techniques and policies should follow market developments, emerging each time different models of management and implementation. The purpose of this paper is to present the application of reliability centered maintenance on Industrial Solid Waste Incinerators â?? ISWI. Probabilistic nature of studies have been inserted in the systems selection steps and determining the frequency of activities. Establishing criteria for defining the frequency of execution of the maintenance routines. As well as the determination of their modes and causes of failure. The main result was the knowledge of the equipment failures of nature. Power systems, and combustion, and gas washing are responsible for the main failure modes that cause interruption of ISWI. Its maintenance tasks were based on time, generating high corrective maintenance rate unscheduled. The study was delimited based on historical data of failures over six years of operation. It is clear the need for improvements in equipment maintenance plan constituting these systems to reduce the likelihood of failures. Contributing in the decisions that must be made to improve operating performance.
