2017 Annual Meeting
Food, Pharmaceutical & Bioengineering Division
In Honor of Martin Yarmush II (Invited Talks)
Monday, October 30, 2017 - 1:45pm to 2:10pm
One of the most important lessons I learned from my postdoctoral fellowship (2002-2004) with Maish Yarmush was to think big and to be confident in tackling new challenges. I joined the CEM after completing my PhD at Rutgers with a background in Protein Engineering. Soon I was surrounded by an array of diverse new projects, big ideas, and fearless enthusiasm. I have tried to embrace this spirit in my lab as we have become involved in a range of topics including enzymology, biomaterials, bioelectrocatalysis, therapeutic delivery, biophysics, and bioenergy. My time with Maish at the CEM helped to inspire me to think big and to constantly embrace new opportunities.
