(22b) Polymer D-255 Cement Fluid Loss Additive Control Optimization

Incorporated and optimized new designs with D-255 FLAC technology to meet the same performance given by previous additive D-167. The project had the main goal to improve control of water loss from cement to formation by reducing the permeability of the cement filter cake, and increasing viscosity of the aqueous phase. The testing results concluded new technology to have better stability and compressive strength development. The replacement of new technology with a PC/PR of 0.27 will save $81K to Schlumberger with a 50% sales profit increase in five years.
