In this study, the CO2 sorption capacity of two silica-PEI (molecular weight of PEI: 800 and 5,000 g/mol) samples, which have been supplied by the University of Nottingham (UNOTT), has been measured in the bubbling fluidized-bed reaction system. At first, the CO2 sorption and desorption behaviours of silica-PEI samples were investigated in a bubbling fluidized-bed reactor (90 cm tall bed with 0.5 cm i.d.). Those experiments were carried out by the cyclic tests (5 times of sorption step and 5 times of desorption step) at 65 to 70°C of sorption temperature and 115 to 125°C of desorption temperature. Secondly, two bubbling fluidized-beds CO2 capture system has been operated continuously in order to evaluate the dynamic sorption capacity of the samples by varying several operating variables such as moisture contents in the feed gas, operating temperatures of each reactor, etc. The CO2 removal performance has also been evaluated according to the several operating variables.
