A new, dense and safe form of transport of hydrogen is a Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC). Meanwhile, the company Hydrogenious Technologies is selling loading and unloading equipment throughout the world.

A new challenge is to run the mobility on a CO2-free basis. One option is the battery car, but what still suffers from a very limited range and certain special drawbacks. An application to battery powered trucks for long distances is out of imagination.

So, the German government asked the author, to set up a plan, how these trucks can be operated with hydrogen in the form of LOHC. The lecture will describe the existing heavy duty hydrogen vehicles and the limits and advantages of this option.
