Should you consider academia or industry jobs? Let's discuss! This panel forum is to graduate students to learn about chemical process and product careers and make individual choice over academic vs. industry. The panelists are from a diverse background covering both academia and industry careers at different stages. The following key questions will be discussed. 1. What is a typical career track of an academic career in chemical process and product research? What does a day look like? 2. What is a typical career track/choices of an industrial career in chemical process and product R&D? What does a day look like there? 3. Skill sets required by both academic and industry career? 4. Should I consider academic or industry? What are the key factors one should consider in making that choice?
