Simulation has proved to be the best optimization’s tool of comminution process. It is also well known that the model-fitting of a milling using a simulator doesn’t always give expected results, especially for a non-normalized breakage function i.e the product mass fractions from various mono sizes are not similar.

This Paper presents the conception of a simulator for product particle size distribution (PSD) of a Roller Milling for non-normalized breakage function.

Using the matrix approach to represent the breakage function of the Roller Milling, the computing code was written and set as executable program in the integer-development of environment (IDE) C#.

The code was written following the rules of matrix multiplication between the vector feed PSD and the breakage - matrix to give the vector product PSD.

This is a solution to comminution plants which face the issue of models fitting due to specific operating conditions and non-normalized breakage function of milling.
