Research Interests: Sustainable technologies for biomass refinement and valorization. I have expertise in supercritical carbon dioxide and seek to investigate novel mixtures of supercritcal fluids as green solvents as well as leveraging molecular compression and expansion for advanced bio-materials, separations, and conversion technologies.

Teaching Interests: Developing students to develop as engineers with an entrepreneurial mindset is critical given the rapid adoption of technology in our society. I am interested in bridging the maker-movement with chemical engineering to prepare and expose students with entrepreneurship as well as provide relevant and modern context to our discipline. Secondly, educating students to be sustainably oriented is equally important and I seek integration of environmental, social, and economic aspects of chemical engineering in my teaching.
