Electrochemical engineering plays an important role in industrial processes, from traditional electrolytic processes to next-generation chemical synthesis and energy production. This symposium will focus on all aspects of electrochemical engineering applied to these processes at the systems level, including electrode kinetics, transport phenomena, mathematical modeling, etc. - focusing on the applications of electrochemical systems to problems relevant to industry. Of particular interest are academic approaches to industrial problems, consideration of electrochemical systems presented by industrial members, and presentation of collaborative efforts between academia and industry.
