This session invites papers with a focus on the development or newfound uses of hydrogel systems for 2D and 3D cell culture, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine. Hydrogels derived from both natural and synthetic materials will be highlighted. Patterned systems that capture the heterogeneous nature of native tissue are also of interest. Graduate Students: By applying to this session you may be eligible for the Biomaterials Graduate Student Award Session established to honor the best graduate student submissions through recognition and cash awards.
