(141b) Data: Yours? Mine? Ours? and When Is Enough Enough?

Authors

Gibson, G. - Presenter, Dupont (retired)
As engineers, we handle lots of data, interpret data and recommend actions based on data all with an ethical underpinning of safety for the public. We must consider regulations, business objectives, privacy and security concerns and more which can combine with human and organizational paradigms and objectives to create pressure or conflicts that result in ethical dilemmas. Our first case study will put participants in real life situations relevant to both the research environment and industry.
