Dissecting information processing in biomolecular systems is central to understanding the behaviour of natural cellular systems and engineering biomolecular systems through synthetic and other means. There are however multiple sources of complexity involved.

In this talk we provide an overview of multiple studies associated with temporal and spatial aspects of information processing (biochemical, gene regulatory) systems and discuss how this begins to build up to a systems deconstruction of those systems
