(326d) Centering a Community: Building an Aiche Education Division

In 2006, Professor Michael Cutlip asked a casual question to the presenter, “Why isn’t there an Education Division in AIChE?” That question initiated a series of events that ultimately transformed an idea into an entity that now functions as a model organization within AIChE. This talk will describe the process of developing the Education Division, with a focus on the approach taken by the many individuals who contributed to creating the Education Division and laying the foundations of the thriving community that it is today.
