(337e) Extension of Rigourous Model Fitting for Kinetics into Other Fields

As a starting point of this presentation the futility of R² as a fitting metric for chemical kinetics will be demonstrated. Rather than that, using, as a minimum, the quality of prediction of the fitting parameters will be covered. The extension of this rigourous methodology into, for example rheology modelling (pastes and non-Newtonian fluids) and to thermal analysis (TPD, TGA-MS), will be made. In the latter case this will include even attention to the impact of baseline drift on model fitting.
