(339a) Ignacio's Legacy in Process Optimization

Over the past 40 years, Ignacio Grossmann has left a legacy in the development of optimization-based concepts and tools in the areas of process synthesis, process optimization, scheduling and planning. Including among this work are rigorous algorithms for discrete/continuous optimization, as well as optimization under uncertainty. This talk explores how these contributions have been applied and expanded in the areas of plant optimization for both steady state and dynamic systems.
