(7c) Legal Developments on Plastics: Basel Convention and the Circular Plastics Economy

The PAIC Legal Developments Subcommittee follows legal issues arising in: energy, food, water and other resources; climate change; chemical regulation; anti-terrorism, physical and cybersecurity, and chemical process safety; ethics, manufacturing and business law. At the PAIC Town Hall, we will review the May 2019 addition of plastic waste to the Basel Convention and its provisions regarding the development of a worldwide circular plastics economy; and the progress of the Expert Working Group pursuant to the Convention.
