This session covers fundamental and applied studies on a wide range of applications for molten salts in the nuclear energy and waste industry. Some topics of particular interest include spent fuel pyroprocessing, molten salt fueled reactors, and molten salt cooled reactors. Talks should emphasize the chemical engineering aspects of these applications—including process monitoring/material characterization, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, and chemical kinetics.
